Stephanie
I began my career in travel in 1992 and ended up taking over the business in September 2001.
Travel is one of the most interesting jobs – the world is
constantly changing and I truly believe that every day is a school day as you are always learning.
I love creating tailormade itineraries – it still gives me a buzz after all these years and the more complex the better!
I treat every itinerary as if it was my own – and I want to make sure that every holiday is as perfect as possible.
Destinations Visited: Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Mexico, India, a lot of the USA, Canada (Quebec, Montreal, Charlevoix Region, Calgary, Banff,
Lake Louise, Jasper, Vancouver, Victoria, Duncan, Chemainus, Nanaimo, Parksville, Campbell River, Knight Inlet), Thailand, Bermuda, Antigua, Barbados, Denmark, Belgium, Luxemburg, Holland, Germany, Mainland Greece, Kos, Corfu, Zante, Rhodes, Milos, Samos, Paros, Crete, Cyprus, Italy, Portugal,
Mainland Spain, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Mauritius, Seychelles, Egypt, Dubai, Oman, Jersey, Guernsey, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Australia, Italy, Gibraltar, Austria and the UK.
Special Moments: There have been a few: Rocky Mountaineer Goldleaf from Jasper to Vancouver
Knight Inlet to watch the Grizzly Bears during salmon spawning Johnston Canyon in the Ice and a frozen Lake Louise in the snon.
Having a blessing in a temple in Jaipur
Staying at the Four Seasons in Beverley Hills (Pretty Woman Hotel)
The Travel Trade Crusade (a rally around Europe to raise money for charity – we chose Parkinsons Disease as my Mother in Law suffers from this. My husband and I did this with our two sons who were 17 and 19 at the time).
Doing yoga at sunrise on a mountain top platform at the Jebel Akhdar Mountains in Oman.
The call to prayer in Istanbul – I can’t describe how beautiful the sound was as all the mosques join in. You are surrounded by prayer and it is very moving.
Favourite Destination: It has to be Canada – without doubt one of the most beautiful places on this earth whether you visit in the winter in the snow and ice (it looks like its been sprinkled with glitter) in the Spring when the wildflowers are out against the backdrop of snow capped mountains or in the Fall when the colours give New England a run for its money and the bears and whales are in abundance (or they should be).
Favourite Hotel: The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra – it’s stunning rooms have the most amazing view of the Taj Mahal and you can watch it change colour throughout the day.
Bucket List: South Africa – I am desperate to do a safari, the wine lands, Cape Town, Hermanus – I just need to go!!!!
Favourite Food: It has to be Greek – I love Tzatziki, Souvlaki, Giros, Moussaka, Greek Salad – I love it all.
Favourite Drink: An ice cold glass of white wine or failing that, a cup of tea.
Travel Tip: Packing cubes – if you are moving around you can pack each day’s outfit in a separate cube so you don’t have to rifle through your suitcase and crease everything up. Always take a water bottle with you.
